Anita is a Brownsville Brooklyn, NY native, with over two decades of experience in finance, strategy, and management (Corporate and Non-Profit). She is fiercely passionate about closing the knowledge gap between generations specific to financial health and long term wealth building through entrepreneurship. She is deeply passionate about community engagement, particularly in the realms of economic and financial well-being, workforce development, and entrepreneurship support. Pierce has devised a strategy for guiding startups to attain MWBE certification and has worked closely with community organizations to boost voter registration and enhance job opportunities in underserved areas. In her past positions, Anita has designed leadership programs for college students, fundraised for educational initiatives, and recently initiated a business accountability group while curating enriching business brunch events. Anita has developed a Civic Engagement program that inspires stakeholders to actively participate in their local communities, specifically within community boards, tenant associations, and stakeholder groups. Anita, a remarkable mother, is a graduate of Bernard Baruch College, City University of New York. She previously served as advisory member of HVWIB and currently holds the role of Community Co-Chair for the Brownsville NeON Stakeholder group. Additionally, she serves as a Business Advisor at the Brooklyn Women's Center at the LDCENY, a mentor at SCORE NYC, and a board member of the UpState New York Black Chamber of Commerce.
